Operations Manager Update

Friday 14/06/2024

Hello All,

I just wanted to provide an update as to goings on at the club as its been a few weeks since I last gave an update so Its important the fans can see and hear what’s been happening here at the club and continues to do so!

The pitch has now been re-seeded and is progressing well; a little warmer weather wouldn’t go amiss but the growth is going well and Val is pleased with the progress that’s being made.

The main stand is now nearly completely re-sprayed and has taken on a new look colour which can be seen in the pictures attached to the website story. Work around the ground including new advertising hoardings, banners for the Wimblebury terrace and painting of all metal work continues at pace as well general maintenance, ground improvements to facilities and improvements around the whole club.

The scoreboard is now on order however there may be a slight delay to installation ready for the start of the season as a mixture of planning permission requirements and structural work means additional hoops need to be jumped through!

There are exciting plans in motion for the outdoor bar area of the ground as well and as when we can share more we will do so.

The home dressing room is under going a dramatic renovation and we are excited to be share the results with you when this is complete. A brand new projector and sound system is being installed in time for the European championships creating a fantastic experience for all the fans on both match and non match days in the Chase Suite and brand new windows and doors have also been installed in the main stand leading out onto the concourse.

The Kit Launch was overwhelmingly successful and the response to all of the kits was everything and more we could of hoped for. We anticipate record demand for this years strips and we are excited to be launching them at The Wolverhampton Wanderers friendly on Tuesday 23rd July.

Season tickets sales are continuing to sell extremely well; we have bypassed last seasons total by some margin and Friendly tickets for our home fixtures are too being taken up in good numbers. The first 2 European championship fixtures have sold over 100 tickets and we are extremely grateful for the support the fans continue to offer the club.

The biggest question that gets put to me and is seemingly on the lips of many fans is recruitment so I wanted to address this and provide reassurances. The football department in Particular Manager Steve King and Director of Football Andrew Reed are working extremely hard on a number of players and this continues to be an ever evolving scene. As a club we are striving to sign the highest calibre player available to us and with this means deals can take slightly longer than previously. We are excited to confirm that we have 2 new player’s being announced this weekend and with more following very soon we are on track of having the squad complete in the coming weeks.

On a side note, the shirts as part of last seasons player sponsorship packages have now arrived into the club. The shirts will be available for collection from the club reception Monday – Friday 9.30-11.30 and 2.30-4.30. Please ask for Terry or Maria upon arrival and state which player/staff member you sponsored.

My final point is one that’s really important to me and the club and its to thank you all for your loyalty, support, kind words and consistent dedication to this club. Without all the season ticket holders, volunteers, match day fans, positive social media interactions and many more as there is too many to name the club wouldn’t be where it is. The continued support and investment that you the fans put in doesn’t go unnoticed and we are all extremely excited for what the season and beyond holds for us all.

I will provide another update in a couple of weeks and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
