Hot-Shot Striker Joins The Pitmen

Tuesday 10/07/2018

Hednesford Town Football Club are pleased to announce the arrival of highly courted striker Tom Hill.

The 22-year-old last night agreed a deal with the Pitmen after opening his account with the first goal in the 4-0 victory over Heath Hayes.

Hill scored an impressive 59 goals last season for Wolverhampton Sporting – leading to a number of clubs chasing his signature and him also spending time at Jamie Vardy’s V9 Academy.

Manager Rob Smith was delighted to be able to beat off competition to bring in the front-man.

He said:

“Tom has been prolific at lower level and a lot of interest has been shown in him over the course of the last 12 months.

“He is now desperate to test himself at a higher level and has great potential – which anyone who was in attendance on Monday evening would’ve seen with him scoring a lovely goal. I’m really pleased to be able to bring him to Keys Park.”

Hill, along with the rest of his teammates, will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when the Pitmen host Mansfield Town at Keys Park – 3pm kick-off
