Match Preview: Hyde United (A)

Friday 16/11/2018

Hednesford Town prepare to return to league action on Saturday with a trip to Hyde United.

Tomorrow’s game sees us crossing paths with the Tigers for the first time in over four years following their promotion back to this level of football last season.

Hyde currently sit two places and four points behind us in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League table, albeit they do have a game in hand on us. They have also yet to taste victory during this month – in stark contrast to ourselves as we go into the game with two victories in our last two matches and looking to extend our unbeaten three game run in November.

Manager Rob Smith will be looking for his side to pick up where they left off last weekend as we go in search of another three points in the league, looking to move us further up the table.

The manager will be without goalkeeper Josef Bursik, who is on international duty with England U19s, while Matt Dodd and Lewis Archer will both be missing due to injury. Midfielder Jed Davies is available again after missing the last two months through injury. Josh Craddock, Callum Coyle and Dan Cockerline will all undergo fitness tests to see if they can be involved after picking up knocks in recent weeks.

The game kicks-off at the usual time of 3pm and we’d like to thank those supporters who are making the trip up to Hyde.
