The waiting is nearly over as Lowestoft Town are the visitors to the PRG Stadium at Keys Park on Saturday 10th August.

Ahead of the Pitmen’s opening fixture in the Betvictor Southern League Premier Central Division, manager Gary Hayward said:

“We have had a good pre-season and built up a head of steam. We are fit, well organised and confident going into Saturday’s game. It is important that we make a good start”.

James Hurst is still recovering from the injury sustained during pre-season, but previous injury doubt Ben O’Hanlon is available for selection after taking part in training.

There are no suspensions carrying over from the previous campaign.

The Trawler Boys, managed by Jamie Goldbold, finished mid-table in 14th place in the league last year.

Kick off is at the usual Saturday time of 3pm.
