Top Comedian Looks Forward To Keys Park Show

Wednesday 23/09/2015

After following the fortunes of Hednesford Town Football Club in the FA Cup two seasons ago on his trip from the Extra Preliminary Round to Wembley, comedian Andy Fury will soon be making a return to Keys Park as he prepares to bring an evening of comedy to the club.

Drawing on his experiences from the FA Cup adventure from the 2013/14 season, Andy will look back to that run and time spent with Hednesford during a specially-crafted show which he has written for his visit on Friday 2 October.

Speaking ahead of his return to Hednesford, Andy said:

“I’m really looking forward to coming back to Keys Park to do the show. Everyone was so welcoming when we visited for the football, so hopefully they’ll be just as hospitable for the comedy!

“It’ll be nice to see some familiar faces at the club and hopefully we can have a good laugh together as we remember some good times at the club.”

His time with Hednesford was just a small part of the adventure though and many funny items, including two trips to Crawley, will be remembered on the night which starts at 8.00pm at Keys Park with doors opening at 7.30pm.

Andy commented on what people attending the show can expect:

“Hednesford was, I guess, just a small part of the story, but they definitely provided some of our most memorable moments.

“From their nine-man victory at West Auckland to welcoming League One Crawley, there were plenty of talking points. There were another fifteen games that didn’t involve them, and plenty of interesting characters that I’m looking forward to telling people about.”

The evening of comedy will cost just £5 and tickets can be purchased from the Commercial Office by either called 01543 422870 or by calling into the club between 10am and 4pm each weekday.
