Help Required To Keep Keys Park Pitch Pristine

Sunday 21/08/2016

No-one could have failed to notice the quality of our Keys Park pitch. It’s never been in better condition; so lush and weed-free.

It doesn’t get that way by magic with lots of hard work going into its maintenance. Lots of expert knowledge about growth and repair also goes into its presentation. Thanks in part to professionals David and Val Bates for choosing Hednesford Town to spend their time to so lovingly coax the turf into tip-top condition.

Sadly, at least 22 footballers run around on it every time we play a match and the hallowed turf takes quite a battering.

Dave and Val wince every time a large divot is displaced. They do their best at half-time and fulltime to replace those divots, but it’s quite a job.

Now they are after some help to carry out pitch repairs on match days as well as possibly during the week.

If you are interested then please either contact the football club on 01543 422870 or speak to Dave or Val who will see around Keys Park both during the week and on a match day.
