Two More Added to Pitmen Squad

Monday 31/07/2017

Hednesford Town manager Neil Tooth has moved to further bolster his squad following the signing of two new players.

Joining the club is left-back Matt Martin and central midfielder Stephen Palmer.

Both have been training and playing with the club during the course of pre-season and Tooth has decided to offer them a chance to impress further. He said:

“Both players have impressed when coming in on trial and it would have been very harsh on them for me to release either.

“They are prepared to come in and fight for a place in the squad and that attitude has impressed me.”

Palmer is a 6ft2 midfielder and lists Rugby Town, Kettering Town, Boldmere and Sutton Coldfield Town amongst his former clubs.

Meanwhile Martin is a no nonsense defender who lists Tipton Town, Halesowen Town and Sporting Khalsa amongst former clubs.

Both will be in the squad for tomorrow’s game against Chasetown.
