Ashton United (A)

Saturday 30/09/2017

Hednesford Town make the journey up the M6 today as we take on Ashton United, aiming to get back to winning ways on the road.

After conceding five last time on our travels, manager Rob Smith will be looking for a much improved performance against an Ashton side that always prove to be a stern test.

Our most recent trip to United came over 12 months ago now when we headed north and lost 2-0 in August 2016. Meanwhile, this fixture will also see us completing a quick league double with Ashton, having drawn 1-1 on the opening day of the season.

The Robins currently sit in tenth place with 20 points from their 11 league games so far this season.

On the player front, Smith will hope to be able to call on the services of midfielder Jed Davies again after he missed the midweek fixture against Altrincham with an injury sustained last weekend.

The game kicks off at the usual time of 3pm and we hope you can join us for the fixture.
