There will be a host of Aston Villa U23 matches at Hednesford Town this season.

Keys Park, home of the Pitmen, will be the venue for four upcoming encounters between September and February.

The first of these takes place this Friday, September 29, as Villa start their Premier League Cup campaign against West Bromwich Albion.

It’s then a Premier League clash with Blackburn on Monday November 20 before another Premier League Cup encounter with Sheffield United on Monday December 4.

Villa then face Ipswich Town at home in the Premier League Cup on Monday February 12.

All kick-offs are scheduled for 7pm.

Aston Villa are currently flying high in the Premier League 2 table after another victory this week –  a 1-0 win over Brighton at Villa Park, Jordan Lyden bagging the winner.
Villa are second with 12 points from six games – six points behind table-topping Middlesbrough.
