Match Preview: Bamber Bridge (H)

Friday 02/11/2018

The Pitmen prepare to return to Keys Park tomorrow as we embark on three home games inside a week when Bamber Bridge visit us for the very first time.

We have never previously crossed paths with ‘Brig’ who were promoted back to this level last season. Their campaign so far can be described as mixed with them currently sitting in 15th place with 17 points from their 13 league games. They have also seen a change of manager with their previous boss departing for FC United of Manchester last month.

Meanwhile we look to get back to winning ways after going four games without a victory – albeit three of those have been draws.

Manager Rob Smith is looking for a response from his side after they stumbled out of the FA Trophy on Tuesday evening.

He said:

“We were all very disappointed with the result on Tuesday evening – none more so than myself.

“Saturday will be another test for us as we come up against a side that have enjoyed success in recent seasons and will no doubt be wanting to impress their new management team.

“Although results haven’t been what we wanted in recent weeks it is important that we all stick together as we look to move forward.”

Smith is still set to be without Matt Dodd while Stefan Galinski is also a doubt. Midfielder Jed Davies has a 50/50 chance of being involved while Josh Craddock will return after missing Tuesday evening.

The game kicks-off at the usual weekend time of 3pm and we look forward to your support at Keys Park as we look to gain another victory on our own pitch.

A reminder that ahead of the game a Fans Forum will he held with Rob Smith between midday and 1pm in Strikers Bar. We hope that you can join us.
