Hednesford Town Football Club can this afternoon confirm that goalkeeper Kieran Preston has been recalled from his loan spell by Basford United.

The shot stopper has now returned to his parent club and we thank him for his efforts while with the Pitmen.

Nicky Eaden and Gary Hayward have moved quickly to replace the shot stopper with the loan signing of Jake Weaver from Birmingham City until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has been with Blues since the age of 12, having progressed through the ranks at St Andrews before becoming a regular in the Under 23s.

Weaver has also spent time on loan with Hungerford Town back in September 2018 and Kidderminster Harriers at the start of 2019.
