COACHING STAFF CHANGES FOR THE PITMEN

Monday 12/10/2020

Hednesford Town FC can today announce that Graham Deakin will be joining the Pitmen coaching staff, assisting interim manager Keenen Meakin-Richards at the PRG Stadium @ Keys Park.
Deakin was involved with the side on Saturday as we ran out 4-2 winners at home to Stratford Town and it has now been confirmed he will be staying at the club as part of the coaching staff. As he is known around the game ‘Deaks’, 33, began his career with Walsall playing a handful of first team games under one Paul Merson before moving on to Tamworth. He had a successful non league career with spells at Halesowen Town, Redditch and Bromsgrove before he hung up his boots to become 1st team manager at Romulus, later stepping down and becoming the Academy manager for 4 years.
A big welcome to Hednesford Town FC, Deaks!
As part of the changes within the coaching team Alex Meechan has left the club by mutual consent and we thank Alex both for his hard work during his time with us and we wish him all the very best with his future endeavours.
