Hednesford Town v Halesowen Town

Friday 02/10/2020

Emirates FA Cup football returns to the PRG Stadium at Keys Park on Saturday as Hednesford Town face Halesowen Town in the Second Qualifying Round.

The Yeltz have made a solid start to the season, making progress in the FA Cup with narrow wins at Newcastle Town and West Bridgford. They are undefeated in the league after three games, which includes a 7-1 drubbing of Yaxley. Their early season has also featured the FA Trophy semi-final, ending in a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Concord Rangers.

Ahead of the game Pitmen manager Andy Morrell commented;

“It is back to the FA Cup this Saturday and we all know the importance of this competition for the club, the players and the fans. I am positive that we can take the chances we are creating and make progress in the competition. Our opponents have started the season really well and this will be a tough afternoon for us. Halesowen have shown with their trophy run last year that they have real quality and have the capacity to compete against higher placed opposition.”
