ISON & CARTER SIGN NEW CONTRACTS

Tuesday 27/07/2021

It can be confirmed today that Lewis Ludford-Ison (CB) and Carter Lycett (LB) have both signed new contracts to retain their services for the forthcoming 21/22 season.

Ison has put in some great performances to date, and was happy to put pen to paper as a statement that he wishes to be part of the progression and energy that’s happening at the PRG Stadium at Keys Park.  A number of clubs was seeking to obtain his signature, following some solid displays at the back, but KMR and the management team wanted to ensure that he remained a Pitman, and Lewis had no hesitation in signing.

Lycett was in a very similar position, but more well known to us all now, following him breaking through into the first team.  His football has been developing superb, and he is also an integral part of Hednesford’s Academy programme, which as a consequence makes Carter a full time member of the Pitmen.  He again was delighted to put pen to paper to commit to the Pitmen for the forthcoming season.

Both deals, are another step forward for the First Team, providing security, energy, development and great players for the club.

KMR stated “We as a management team are delighted to agreed such deals with such talented guys.  Their passion, belief and execution is exactly the fit we seek to move the club forwards.  We know they will be a big part of the forthcoming season and will assist us in delivering what we aspire to achieve.  It’s great to know we have a solid structure developing which we can continue to develop the team around.  We cannot wait for this season to start and for all the hard work everyone’s putting in to start speaking for itself.”

We hope you all join us in congratulating them and thanking them for having the same belief we all do, in themselves and the club, as a great fit for each other for the upcoming season.
