Emirates FA Cup R1Q Replay Cleethorpes Town v Hednesford Town

Monday 06/09/2021

Hednesford Town will travel to Lincolnshire on Tuesday to face Cleethorpes Town for the second time in four days following the 1-1 draw at Keys Park. The Pitmen failed to see off their opponents after Andre Landell’s headed goal put them ahead after 12 minutes. The Owls came back strongly to equalise during the second half.

With an attractive home draw against National League North Alfreton Town awaiting the winners, Pitmen manager Keenen Meakin-Richards is looking to the players to raise their performance levels from Saturday, which he described as lethargic. Jed Davies, George Cater, Callam Mendez-Jones and Reece Flanagan are missing through injury, while Reece Styche has been away with Gibraltar. The fitness of players with slight knocks and strains from Saturday’s game will be assessed before the squad travels on Tuesday.

Kick off at 7.45pm

The Linden Club, Clee Road, Grimsby, DN32 8QL
