The Pitmen make the journey south tonight to face third-placed Peterborough Sports in the Pitching-In Southern Premier Central League. The two sides met a month ago at Keys Park in the FA Trophy, producing an enthralling game where the Pitmen came back from a two goal deficit, only to concede a late winner to the Turbines.
Sports, somewhat surprisingly, lost their last league game a week ago to Alvechurch at the Bee Arena, this followed thumping wins against Royston Town (3-0) and St. Ives (7-2).
A depleted Pitmen squad put in an impressive performance in atrocious conditions at Nuneaton on Saturday, drawing 1-1, only being denied a win by two efforts cleared off the line and a Nuneaton opening goal that the referee later apologised for allowing to stand. Keenen Meakin-Richards is boosted by the return of Chay Tilt, Andre Landell and Todd Parker from suspension.
Kick off is at 7.45pm
