Hednesford Town v Leiston

Friday 03/12/2021

Leiston are this weekend’s visitors to the PRG Stadium at Keys Park in the Pitching-In Southern Premier Central League. Leiston have won two and lost three of their last five games and after eighteen games, currently sit just outside the play-off positions, seven points ahead of the Pitmen in tenth. Will Davies is the Blues’ leading scorer with ten goals so far this season.

There has been movement in the Hednesford Town squad during the week with Ryan Pryce moving to Nuneaton Borough, before the departures of defender Kyle Rowley and midfielder Aram Soleman. Tom Armitage, who appeared as a substitute against the Pitmen last Saturday has made the switch from Nuneaton, joined by the experienced defender Martin Riley’s arrival from Tamworth, the latter will not be available for selection for this weekend’s game.

Ahead of the match Keenen Meakin-Richards stated; “It will be a tough game, Leiston have produced some noticeable results so far this season and are in sixth place in the league. The fixture at Victory Road was a closely fought contest that we narrowly lost back in September, we will be looking to put that right and give the supporters a performance to be proud of.”
