Pitmen Add Midfielder to Squad

Hednesford Town manager Paul Casey has this evening moved to bolster his squad with the addition of midfielder George Washbourne.

Following an injury to David McDermott, which is expected to keep him out for the next two to three weeks, and George Forsyth returning to Kidderminster Harriers, Casey has today moved to bring in a reinforcement.

Washbourne has a wealth of experience having played for Forest Green Rovers, Nuneaton Town, Stourbridge and Sutton Coldfield Town.

Casey said:

“We’ve been left a little bit short in the middle of the park, especially on the left-hand side due to Dave McDermott’s injury.

“George gives us experience and also provides us with another option. I’m pleased to be able to add him to the squad.”

Washbourne has been registered in time to take his place in the squad for tomorrow’s home game against Barwell at Keys Park.
