Match Preview: Halesowen Town (A)

Tuesday 10/10/2017

Hednesford Town look to record their first league double of the season as we prepare to make the trip to Halesowen Town this evening.

The Pitmen go into the game full of confidence, having achieved three victories in the space of a week, conceding just one goal, and with it moving into the top half of the league table.

We played host to Halesowen back in August when, on a lovely midweek evening, two goals inside the first ten minutes saw all three points staying at Keys Park.

Trips to the Grove in recent years have been very fruitful  for the Pitmen with us unbeaten in our last four trips to Halesowen.

Pitmen manager Rob Smith was hoping that his rejuvenated squad of players could add to their recent good run of form on Tuesday evening.

He said:

“With a little bit more quality added to the current squad, I fully believe we have the capability to go on a winning run of games.

“I am hopeful we can continue this at Halesowen on Tuesday, who, despite having a difficult start to the season, always provide a very stern test at the Grove – while they picked up a great result at the weekend.

“I hope we can have as much support there as possible, as it makes such a difference to the players.”

We hope that you can join us by making the short journey across the Midlands for the game which kicks off at the usual midweek time of 7.45pm.
