Pitmen Handed Home Tie in FA Trophy 2nd QR

The draw for the second qualifying round of the Buildbase FA Trophy took place at Wembley Stadium on Monday – and it saw the Pitmen being handed a home tie against Cleethorpes Town.

Our opponents in the next round ply their trade in the Evo-Stik Division One South and currently sit in second place. On Saturday they disposed of Buxton on their own pitch following a 2-1 triumph.

The tie will be held on Saturday 11 November and winning clubs will receive £4,000 from the FA Trophy prize fund.

Last week also saw the second round draw for the Birmingham Senior Cup taking place with the Pitmen being handed an away tie against Solihull Moors. No date has yet been arranged for the fixture and we aim to bring you more news on that as soon as we can.
