Club Statement: Events Of 15th December

Monday 31/12/2018

During our recent Evo-Stik Northern Premier League fixture against Stafford Rangers at Marston Road on Saturday 15th December, we were disappointed to see the actions of a small minority of ‘fans’, reflecting badly on those Hednesford Town supporters in attendance.

This comes after a smoke bomb was set off and thrown among supporters congregated in the away end of the ground.

The incident was spotted and reported by the Match Referee and although the Football Association have confirmed that they won’t be taking any action this time, the report has been logged in their records.

This obviously reflects badly on Hednesford Town Football Club and is something that we as a club strongly condemn. Anyone found to be bringing smoke bombs or flares to Hednesford Town matches, both at home or away, will be ejected from the stadium and banned in accordance with our policy.

It should also be noted that anyone who is caught setting off a smoke bomb or flare is liable to be subject to a three-year football banning order from all stadiums in the United Kingdom if found guilty of the offence.
