Match Preview: Stafford Rangers (A)

Friday 14/12/2018

Tomorrow afternoon sees us making the short journey across Cannock Chase as we take on our near neighbours Stafford Rangers at Marston Road.

After suffering defeat earlier in the season, the Pitmen go into the game looking to gain revenge on a ground that has been a happy hunting ground in recent visits.

Caretaker manager Francino Francis said:

“We know how much this game means to the fans and I shall certainly be making sure that the players are all too aware about this.

“Having played in this fixture I know all about it and we are looking to take the result from the start of the week into this game.”

Francino is set to have a full squad of players to choose from after Lewis Archer made a scoring return from injury on Monday evening.

He will be without defender Sam Griffiths and midfielder Joe Fitzpatrick though with them having had their registrations cancelled after both indicated their wish to link up with Halesowen Town. The Pitmen meanwhile have moved to bring in midfielder Ryan Shaw from Boldmere St Michaels.

The game kicks off at the usual time of 3pm and we look forward to seeing your support on the road.
