It was announced earlier today that Rob Smith has been awarded the Skrill North Manager of the Month for the excellent start that the Pitmen have made to life in the higher league. The  relevant extract from the Skrill League Press release is shown below:

‘Hednesford Town’s Rob Smith is The Skrill North ‘Manager of the Month’ for August. Smith’s side have made an unbeaten start to life in the division, following their promotion from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier last season.
The Pitmen have taken 13 points from a possible 15, with four wins and a draw. The highlights a 4-0 win away at Stalybridge Celtic, an established side in the division, and a 3-1 home win over Barrow, who were plying their trade in the Premier section just five months ago.

It was nearly a double for the club as Elliott Durrell’s incredible 8-goal start to the season was just beaten into second place in the player category!’
