Elliott Durrell signs for Wrexham FC

Monday 27/01/2014

After a day of intense activity and much speculation in the social media, we can confirm that Hednesford Town FC have agreed terms with Conference Premier club, Wrexham FC for the transfer of Elliott Durrell and the prolific midfielder has signed papers for his new club this afternoon.
The transfer is in progress and is now simply subject to International Clearance, with Wrexham being a member club of the FAW.

It is with mixed emotions that we will see the ‘pocket rocket’ move on from Keys Park, we are obviously delighted that he is moving up the football ladder to a club that we believe will appreciate his talents but he has been a great player for our club and will be difficult to replace.

Elliott has scored some memorable goals in his time as a Pitman but none more so than the ‘Maradona-like’, solo goal at Bradford Park Avenue last week, that has been seen around the world and is a fantastic way to bow out of his time at Keys Park.

We would all like to wish Elliott all the best at his new club and our thanks go to Wrexham FC for the manner in which they have conducted negotiations and progressed the transfer.
