During last night’s game against Corby Town, Pitmen captain Ben Bailey had to be taken off during the halftime interval following a nasty blow to the side of his head in first half stoppage time.
After being checked over by medical staff and an ambulance crew at the ground, he made his way to hospital in order to undergo further checks.
Following x-rays at the hospital they were unable to determine the exact injury which Ben had suffered due to the amount of swelling around his cheekbone.
He is due to go for further x-rays this week in order to assess the damage which he has received.
Everyone at HTFC, along with Ben’s family, would like to thank those who looked after the player and to those Corby officials and players who called into the physio room to check on him.
