The Pitmen have today been handed a home draw in the Emirates FA Cup Second Qualifying Round.

Bernard McNally’s side will face either Holwell Sports or Bedworth United at Keys Park with the game set to take place on Saturday 26th September.

The two sides replay on Tuesday evening at Bedworth after an entertaining 2-2 draw in the first game on Saturday.

Holwell Sports play in the East Midlands Counties League and sit in 9th place, although they have played a number of games less than their league rivals due to an extended run in the FA Cup, having beaten Ellistown & Ibstock United and Kirby Muxloe on their way to the First Qualifying Round.

After gaining promotion last season Bedworth currently find themselves bottom of the Southern League Premier Division having gained just two points from their opening eight games.

As we know all too well though, the FA Cup is a great leveller and we look forward to welcoming either Holwell or Bedworth to Keys Park in just less than two weeks’ time.
