Glover makes Keys Park return

Thursday 28/01/2016

Hednesford Town Football Club are delighted to announce that striker Danny Glover has today re-joined the club.

The 26-year-old was previously at Keys Park for a ten month period between March and December 2014, scoring a total of 11 goals before joining Stockport County.

Glover then linked up with AFC Telford United in the summer of 2015 before seeing his deal come to an end at the New Bucks Head this week.

Commenting on the signing, manager Frank Sinclair said he was delighted to be able to bring the former Port Vale striker back to the club.

He said: “Having spoken both with people at the club and Danny himself I know a lot about his past history with the football club. I am hoping that the fans will once again take to him and give him their full support.

“Danny will offer something totally different to what we currently have in the squad. He is a very experienced striker, especially at this level and is a player who I have come across both in my time at Colwyn Bay and Brackley Town.

“He arrives here after a somewhat tough time of it at AFC Telford United, for whatever reason that may have been. But he comes to the club with a great chance to restart his career, not only between now and the end of the season but looking at longevity also.

“Having spoken with Danny he, like the rest of the players here, wants to be part of what we are trying to achieve at the football club.”

Glover is set to be available for selection for the visit of Curzon Ashton to Keys Park on Saturday.
