We are pleased to welcome Rhys Thompson to Keys Park with the defender becoming the latest player to join the ranks at Hednesford Town.

Thompson, who plays at right-back, joined the club during the end of pre-season and impressed manager Liam McDonald.

The defender made 45 appearances for Chasetown, who finished seventh in the Evo-Stik Northern First Division South last season, before initially moving to Worcester City after attracting attention higher up the non-league pyramid.

Rhys has previously played for Leek Town, Kidsgrove Athletic, Hanley Town and Market Drayton Town and will provide extra competition in the Pitmen back line.
