Former West Bromwich Albion and England Striker to Star at Hednesford Town Christmas Carol Concert

Sunday 27/11/2016

Hednesford Town Football Club, in partnership with the Hednesford Town Football Club Supporters Association, are delighted to announce that former England and West Bromwich Albion forward Cyrille Regis, MBE will join them for their now annual Christmas Carol Concert.

From 7.30pm on Monday December 5th, football fans, along with members of the local community, will come together at Keys Park, the home of the Pitmen, as they look to get into the festive spirit with carols and songs with a Christmas theme.

This year’s event will see Regis in attendance to not only regale tales about what this time of year is like for a footballer, but also describe his connections with Christians in Sport – for which he is a trustee.

One of the three organisers, Gavin Blackwell, said: “We are delighted that Cyrille will be able to join us on the night, for what has become an annual event for us here at the football club.

“His experience, along with all of the community groups which are due to be in attendance, should help make it another memorable evening at Keys Park.”

The night will also see Hednesford Town players, students from St Peter’s Primary School and Staffordshire University Academy also in attendance along with the Hednesford Salvation Army Band.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to arrive from 7pm, with entry being free. The night will also be recorded for Cannock Chase Radio, with it scheduled to be played out on Christmas Day.
