McNaught Becomes Latest New Arrival at Keys Park

Wednesday 07/12/2016

Hednesford Town manager Paul Casey has bolstered his squad further with the signing of box-to-box midfielder Stuart McNaught.

The central midfielder has most recently been playing for Sutton Coldfield Town having helped Stafford Rangers to promotion last season.

McNaught has a number of years’ experience of playing at step three and four of the non-league pyramid, having appeared for Rushall Olympic, Sutton, Coalville Town and Stafford after starting out with Boldmere St Michaels.

The manager was hoping the locally based midfielder would be able to add energy and strength to the side.

He said:

“Stuart is in the prime of his career and as a central midfielder at 6’2″ he is perfect for our team now as we look to win the battles ahead of the festive period and into the run in to the end of the season.

“Stuart played for me 13 years ago as a teenager so I know his background and he comes to the club in the build-up to the weekend’s game.”

The Pitmen host Warrington Town at Keys Park on Saturday, with the game kicking off at 3pm.
