Match Preview: Frickley Athletic (A)

Friday 03/03/2017

The Pitmen return to action tomorrow afternoon with a trip to Frickley Athletic as we aim to return to winning ways following the disappointing result against Nantwich Town last time out.

We go into the game looking to record a league double over Frickley, having comfortably beaten them at Keys Park 4-0 back in September.

Things have changed somewhat for the Yorkshire side since then though, with them picking up some form in recent weeks as they look to distance themselves from the bottom four between now and the end of the season.

We head north knowing that Westfield Lane hasn’t traditionally been a happy hunting ground with us recording just one league victory in five matches – this came all the way back in September 2006. Our last visit to Frickley saw us suffer a 2-1 defeat with goalkeeper Dan Crane also being sent off.

On the injury front, only Jordan Fitzpatrick (hamstring) is definitely ruled out with the caretaker management team otherwise having a full squad of players to pick from.

The game kicks off at the usual time of 3pm and we hope that you can make the trip to support the Pitmen.
