Hednesford Town can confirm that midfielder Matt Dodd has this afternoon left the club in order to sign for Evo-Stik rivals Stourbridge.
The winger signed for the Pitmen in the summer of 2017 from the Glassboys but after a seven day approach was made by the Black Country club, Dodd has decided to leave Keys Park.
The Pitmen were notified by the player that the Glassboys had offered him a significantly increased wage in order to re-sign for them.
Dodd played a total of six times for Hednesford, scoring twice including the winner against Stafford Rangers on Bank Holiday Monday and we thank him for his efforts during his short stay.
