Hednesford Town Football Club can confirm that defender Charlie Gatter has today become the latest player to commit to the club for the forthcoming campaign.
Gatter, 20, initially arrived on loan at Keys Park from Gainsborough Trinity. After seeing his loan extended for consecutive months his deal was eventually extended until the end of last season, with him playing 23 times and scoring three goals.
Following this signing, manager Rob Smith said:
“I’m delighted to be able to bring Charlie back to the football club. We beat off some good offers from our level and above to get his signature, so it is great news Charlie has signed, he is a young lad who will only get better.”
The Pitmen are also still awaiting clarification as to the outcome of an appeal that was lodged with the FA in regards to the league allocation for the 2018/19 campaign.
