The Pitmen return to action this evening in our latest pre-season fixture as we renew acquaintances with old friends AFC Wulfrunians.

This will be the first time in three years that we have made the trip across to the other side of Wolverhampton – with Wulfs always putting up a good show and goals usually being the order of the evening.

It will again be another test for this new look Rob Smith side, with our hosts having defeated Stourbridge 2-1 on Saturday, but we go into it on the back of two good results so far in pre-season. Last Monday saw us kicking off our summer with a convincing 4-0 triumph over Heath Hayes before we held Football League side Mansfield Town to a goalless draw at Keys Park last Saturday.

Once again Smith will use this game to hand players who have arrived on trial a chance to impress as he continues to build his squad of players before the big kick-off on Saturday 18 August.

This evening’s game kicks-off at 7.45pm and hopefully a number of Hednesford fans will be able to make the journey to Castlecroft as we look to continue our good start to pre-season.
