Everyone at Hednesford Town Football Club would like to wish goalkeeper Josef Bursik all the best as he embarks on England Under 19 duty for the next ten days.
After continuing to impress for the Pitmen, Bursik will this week train with a plethora of players from throughout the Premier League and Football League as they prepare to face Portugal at the Municipal Stadium Jose Martins Vieira at 4pm on Thursday 11 October.
The U19s then host Macedonia at St George’s Park (invite only) at 2pm on Tuesday 16 October.
As such, manager Rob Smith has moved to bring in big shot stopper Sheridon Martinez from AFC Telford United to cover for Bursik over the course of the next three matches.
Martinez has had two spells with Telford and spent the second half of last season with Solihull Moors – taking his place on the bench for Saturday’s FA Cup fixture at Kettering Town.
