Consortium Call On Pitmen Fans To Turn Out In Numbers

Thursday 14/03/2019

A new consortium that are looking to revive the fortunes of Hednesford Town Football Club have called on Pitmen supporters – both present and past, to turn out in force this weekend.

After a two week break from action, we return to Keys Park on Saturday when Nantwich Town visit us as we look to extend our winning streak to four matches.

During that break the consortium, which is made up of club officials, local businessmen, supporter representation and our junior club partner, have agreed to take over the running of the football club over the course of the next 12 months.

Now they are calling on Pitmen supporters to give their backing to the side from 3pm on Saturday.

The group said:

“This is a really exciting time for the football club as we look to get it moving back in the right direction.

“What we want now is for fans of Hednesford to come out and back us on Saturday as we look to get this new era off with a bang.

“Whether you’re a supporter who is a regular at Keys Park or someone who may have drifted away in recent years, we urge you to come along to the ground this weekend and give Nick Eaden, Gary Hayward and the players their backing.”

Just ahead of kick-off this weekend the consortium will be introduced to the Keys Park crowd while the first team squad will also be cheered onto the pitch by over 200 players from Hednesford Town Newlands as we look to generate the Pitmen supporters of the future.
