Hednesford Town 5 (B Wells 15, Glover 36, 75 pen, Evans 70, Abadaki 71), Bangor City 0

Hednesford Town ran out convincing winners against Bangor City at the PRG Stadium at Key Parks. It looked like Ben O’Hanlon had opened the scoring early on with a headed effort, however the assistant referee indicated that the ball had not crossed the line. Brad Wells gave the Pitmen the lead after 15 minute heading home a cross from James Hurst after some excellent work from Joey Evans. The Citizen’s defence made a hash of clearing a delivery from O’Hanlon allowing Danny Glover to double the advantage with a low finish.

Joey EvansĀ claimed the third when his trickery in the area completely wrongfooted the visitor’s defence. Moments later Osebi Abadaki gathered in a loose ball on the edge of the area and fired a long shot into Bangor’s net. Abadaki was denied another shot at goal when he was hacked down in the penalty area, Danny Glover dispatched the resulting spot kick to round off an impressive performance from the Pitmen.

Hednesford Town; Platt (Veiga 65), Curley, Griffiths (Waddison 78), Bailey (Ezewele 76), Gatter Morris 60), Hurst (Hallahan 60), Evans, Elliot (Truslove 76), Glover, B Wells (Abadaki 65), O’Hanlon (Lycett 70)
