Following Saturday’s 4-2 victory against Blyth Spartans, it is a quick return to the PRG Stadium at Keys Park on Monday night as the Pitmen face Burton Albion in the First Round of the Birmingham Senior Cup.

As with the League Cup game at Coleshill Town last Monday, it is expected that the Pitmen will field a much changed side allowing an opportunity to rest some players while giving others valuable game time. Gary Hayward was pleased with the performance from the players who featured against Coleshill stating; “I gave them the instruction to play it out from the back in the first half, I said no long balls. They did that well and then with Coleshill stretched and beginning to tire, we finished them off in the second half. It goes to show the level of fitness, organisation and quality we have running through the squad.”

Kick off is at the usual midweek time of 7.45pm.
