Hednesford Town v Nuneaton Borough (H)

Monday 09/12/2019

It’s the second of three games in a week at the PRG Stadium, Keys Park as Hednesford Town face Nuneaton Borough in the BetVictor Premier Central League on Tuesday night. The visitors have had mixed fortunes in their last five leagues games; winning one, drawing three and most recently suffering a 3-1 defeat to Rushall Olympic at Liberty Way. Sitting in a mid-table position, the Boro are only four points behind the fourth-placed Pitmen, having played two more games.

Ahead of the game joint caretaker manager Danny Glover said; “It will be a hard game against Nuneaton; it is surprising that they are in mid-table with the calibre of players they have at the club, but we are aware of what they are capable of doing. As with Saturday, you can rely on honest effort and commitment from anyone representing Hednesford Town and hopefully we can strengthen our position in the play-offs and keep in touching distance of the leaders.”

James Hurst (injury) and Elliot Hodge (illness) missed Saturday’s win against Hitchin Town and will have their fitness assessed prior to the game. Jack Hallahan serves the second of his three match ban following the red card he received against Biggleswade Town. In further squad news it can be confirmed that Enoch Andoh and Billy Daniels have left the club, we would like to put on record our thanks and best wishes to both players.

Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
