Hednesford Town Football Club are delighted to announce the return of forward Dan Sweeney to the PRG Stadium @ Keys Park subject to league ratification of his transfer from Redditch United FC.

Sweeney, 21, has had 3 very successful loan spells with the Pitmen and joins us after spending pre-season with Redditch United where he scored 7 goals. Beginning his career with Kidderminster harriers, Sweeney then had productive loan spells at both Halesowen and Stourport Swifts before joining Solihull Moors. Sweeney spent last season on loan both at Stratford Town and here at the PRG Stadium @ Keys Park. On his move back to Hednesford Dan said “I’m delighted to be back at a club that feels like home, I’ve played some of my best football here and I’m just really excited that I have been able to finally come back permanently to Hednesford”.

Sweeney unfortunately is unavailable for todays game with Stourbridge due to injury, however, he should be back available for selection in the next few weeks.
