Beginning his career with Kidderminster harriers, Sweeney then had productive loan spells at both Halesowen and Stourport Swifts before joining Solihull Moors. Sweeney spent last season on loan both at Stratford Town and here at the PRG Stadium @ Keys Park. On his move back to Hednesford Dan said “I’m delighted to be back at a club that feels like home, I’ve played some of my best football here and I’m just really excited that I have been able to finally come back permanently to Hednesford”.
