Hednesford Town can today announce that forward Dan Sweeney has been released from the club.

Sweeney arrived at the club in the summer, having spent pre season with Redditch United and had been impressing with his performances.

Unfortunately Sweeney’s position at the club became untenable due to influences from his representatives, so the decision has unfortunately been made to go our separate ways.

The club would however like to place on records it’s thanks to Dan Sweeney himself for his time with us and to wish him the very best for the future.
