Wells returns to Pitmen

Saturday 05/06/2021

Hednesford Town are delighted to announce the return of fans favourite Kieran Wells ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Wells, pictured above with the new third choice concept kit, turned 28 on Thursday and is of course a well known face to Hednesford supporters from his previous spell with the club, where his goal scoring exploits in 2019, along with his 100% effort week in week out, made him a very popular player with the Pitmen faithful.
Manager Keenen Meakin-Richards said “Wellsy is a fantastic player who knows this league and club very well, he really is a big signing for us as he scores goals wherever he plays but he also really does love this club and he will add so much to us both on the pitch and in the dressing room”
On his return to the Pitmen Kieran said “I’m so lucky to be back at such a historic club! When I had the chance to come back it was a ‘no brainer’, I do want to say thank you to Sherwood Colliery FC for the chance to play for them but I’m really looking forward to working with the management and to be a part of this exciting team! I hope the fans are ready for me chasing those crisp packets again! Up the Pitmen!”
Welcome back Wellsy!
