Biggleswade Town are Saturday’s visitors to the PRG Stadium at Keys Park in the Southern Central Premier League. The Waders have had a mixed start to the season beginning with a 3-3 draw at Nuneaton Borough, a victory at Langford Road against struggling Lowestoft before last weekend’s home defeat at the hands of Peterborough Sports.
The Pitmen have been in fine form in their opening trio of games with manager Keenen Meakin-Richards commenting; “I have been happy with the professional way we have managed the games, particularly the two away from home. I trust every single player in this squad and that is why we can make changes and rotate the squad when the need arises tactically or through injury. We want to keep this run of form going for as long as possible and we will stick to our principles, stay humble and prepare for each game with a clean slate.”
Jed Davies’ absence through injury continues while late decisions will be made on the fitness of Carter Lycett, Callam Mendez-Jones and Courtney Richards. New signings midfielder Jack Chambers and winger Callum King-Harmes go straight into the squad, while Wes Atkinson, Kosta Mario and Oli Waddison have all gone out on loan.
In honour of David Bates, we can confirm that at Saturdays game against Biggleswade, prior to kick off, we shall be holding a minutes applause to celebrate David’s time at the club and for everything he did at Hednesford Town.
