Hednesford Town v Peterborough Sports

Friday 29/10/2021

Hednesford Town face Peterborough Sports in the Buildbase FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round on Saturday 30th October at the PRG Stadium, Keys Park. Speaking ahead of the game manager Keenen Meakin-Richards was delighted to be able to select his team from a squad unchanged from last week’s superb fightback away at St. Ives. Jed Davies, Josh Webb, Callam Mendez-Jones and Sam Griffiths miss out through injury, Ryan Pryce has returned to training, and in further good news for the club George Cater is due to resume training shortly.

It will be the first chance for the majority of Pitmen supporters to see the trio of new signings; Josh Endall, Aram Soleman and Riley O’Sullivan who all announced their arrivals at the club last week with highly impressive debut performances.

Keenen added; “Peterborough are having a great season and it is no surprise that they are flying high at the top of our league. They are not unbeatable as a couple of teams have shown. We know we are in for a tough game this afternoon, but I am sure we will rise to the occasion and see it as a chance to test ourselves against one of the best outfits in our league. A Trophy game gives us a break from the league and is an opportunity for this current group of players to create a bit of club history with a good run in this competition”.

Kick off is at the usual Saturday time of 3pm, gates and bars will be open from 1pm.
