Hednesford Town v Banbury United

Tuesday 14/12/2021

High flying Banbury United are tonight’s visitors to the PRG Stadium at Keys Park in the Pitching-In Premier Central. With only a handful of games being played tonight ninth placed Hednesford, with games in hand, will be looking to close the gap and overtake some of the teams above them. The Pitmen were unable to follow up their resounding 4-0 thumping of Leiston, as the weekend’s fixture at Lowestoft fell foul of the weather.

Callam Mendez-Jones and Josh Webb played for Sutton Coldfield Town at the weekend as part of their return from long term injury, while Jed Davies remains on the sidelines.

Ahead of the game Keenen Meakin-Richards commented; “The Leiston game was a complete performance from start to finish against a good side, we did what we needed to do defensively, won our battles in midfield and were ruthless when our chances came. We need to produce that level of performance all over the pitch tonight against Banbury who are having a terrific season so far putting together a 16-match unbeaten run in the league, which only ended at the start of December. They were back in business on Saturday beating Coalville Town 3-1.”
