Hednesford Town are pleased to announce the signing of Wolves Under 23 goalkeeper Joe O’Shaughnessy on loan from the premier league club for the remainder of the 21/22 season.

O’Shaughnessy, 19, has been with Wolves since 2019 having previously been with Wrexham and Burnley. The 6ft 5inch stopper has been involved with England international youth football throughout his academy life has joined the Pitmen on loan to gain first team experience as part of his development as a young goalkeeper.

Manager Keenen Meakin-Richards said “Joe is a big strong goalkeeper in a similar vein as Oliver Basey who we had on loan previously, he’s got a fantastic pedigree and is a real talent who could go a long way in the game so we are pleased Wolves decided to send him here on loan”.  Previous comments from Wolves also stated “He’s got the physique, he’s got the size, his distribution is really good”.

O’Shaughnessy goes into the squad and will be available for our next First Team league Game.
