Hednesford Town v Kings Langley

Friday 14/04/2023

Hednesford play their second home game in a week on Saturday when they welcome Kings Langley to Keys Park.

With three of the four relegation places already sorted Kings Langley will be looking for a win to try and move away from that fourth from bottom spot. The Kings currently have 39 points from 39 games, six behind Bromsgrove Sporting and Needham Market although Bromsgrove have played a game more than the other two teams. After the clash with The Pitmen, Kings Langley finish their season with two home games against Hitchin and Rushden & Diamonds.

When the two sides last met on November 12th 2022, The Kings came out on top with a 2-1 win in front of a crowd of 200. Tajbakhsh gave them a third minute lead before Luke Rowe equalised for Hednesford in the 64th minute. A draw looked on the cards until Parkes popped up with a winner deep into stoppage time.

From their 20 away games this season Kings Langley have won six, drawn three and lost 11 scoring 22 goals and conceding 35. Their only clean sheet away from home came in a 0-0 draw at Barwell. On current form they have picked up just two points from their last five games scoring six goals and conceding nine. Hednesford go into the game on a run of four games without defeat at Keys Park while Kings Langley’s last five away games sees them without a victory.

Kick off will be at the usual time of 3pm with gates and bars open at 1pm. Admission is £12 adults, £9 concessions, £5 U16s (with a supervising paying adult) and U5s free (again if accompanied by a paying adult). A family ticket for one adult and one U16 is £15.
