Hednesford Town v Chasetown

Sunday 27/08/2023

On Bank Holiday Monday local rivals Chasetown visit Keys Park for a Northern Premier League West Division fixture. Chasetown have made a good start to the season following their lateral move from the Midland Division and are in second place in the league table with their 10 points coming from three wins and a draw. After an unbeaten start to the season two defeats in their last two games have seen Hednesford drop to 15th.

With Chasetown playing their home games at Boldmere St Michaels so far this season due to the installation of an artificial pitch at their Church Street ground their visit to Hednesford will be the nearest that they have come to playing “at home” in 2023/24. The Chasetown squad features quite a few familiar faces with Kris Taylor, Ryan Nesbitt, Alex Melbourne, Sam Wilding, James Wren and Joe Morley all having turned out for The Pitmen.

Kick off on Monday will be at 3pm with gates and bars open at 1pm. Admission is £11 adults, £8 concessions, £3 under 16s and £3 car parking.

There’s a special offer in the bars with Wulf from local Chasewater Brewery Beowulf available at £3.20 a pint. What better way to read your copy of the award-winning programme than with a pint of Real Ale?
