Hednesford Town Football Club Supporter’s Association Joint Chairman, Scott Smith, has spoken with excitement about the next two weeks for The Pitmen with a national day celebrating non-league football and a professional darts star turn at Keys Park.
Hednesford town prepare for Non-League Day on Saturday October 13th and roll out the oche for a darts evening with Peter ‘One Dart’ Manley on Wednesday 24th October.
Smith is looking forward to two big events for The Pitmen and hopes they will see fans, new, young and old, visit the home of Hednesford Town.
‘Non-League Day really is a big event this year across the country and the Supporters Association are delighted to be involved in assisting the Club with trying to raise its profile within the local community. The Darts Evening also means that people who perhaps haven’t visited Keys Park in the past come to enjoy the facilities and what promises to be a hugely enjoyable event.’
The Supporters Association are planning a half-time penalty shoot-out between two local schools on Non League Day, along with a gymnastic display and mascot Pitman Pete will also be in attendance.
The ‘Adult and Child for a Tenner’ offer will be running on Saturday for local families to take advantage of what promises to be a fun day for all involved.
The Darts Evening will involve Peter Manley, famed for his rivalry with Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor in the early 2000’s and for reaching the World Championship Final three times, will be taking part in a Q+A session, playing some exhibition shots for the crowd and will also be taking on some lucky ticketholders live on stage.
