Pitmen boss open to questions at fans’ meeting

Wednesday 13/08/2014

Hednesford Town Supporters Association are holding their monthly meeting on Thursday night from 7.30pm at Keys Park with a special guest attending as first team manager Rob Smith will be holding a ‘Q & A’ session from 8.30pm.

The ‘Meet the Manager’ evenings have become a fixture over recent seasons around the eve of the opening home game of the season and all fans are welcome to attend to put their questions to the man in charge and hear what he has to say about the new Vanarama Conference North campaign.

HTFCSA Chairman, Scott Smith, encouraged fans to come along and support the event and expected Smith to be his usual honest and dryly entertaining self.

‘It’s fantastic that the manager is willing to hold these open question sessions with supporters at the start of the campaign and the HTFCSA are hoping for a good turn out. Rob always gives an interesting perspective on his plans for the year ahead and the night acts as a great precursor Saturday’s home game against Harrogate Town.’

The HTFCSA meeting prior to the appearance of the manager is also open to all, members or otherwise, to give their views on how the supporter experience can be improved at the Club, offer their assistance to the numerous initiatives in place and hear what the HTFCSA is planning for the new season.

Strikers Bar will be open from 7.15pm with the bar open throughout the evening.
